Achievements

Fundamental to Busselton Senior High School is our vision to achieve standards of excellence in teaching and learning.  We are an inclusive school that caters to the needs of every student by providing flexible pathways that provide opportunities for success in many ways.

Our ATAR students have consistently achieved high results ensuring direct university entrance.  As a Registered Training Organisation, our Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs are award winning and recognised statewide.

 

BSHS Key Achievements

  • 2018 - Australian Training Awards School Pathways to VET Award (Number 1 VET School in Australia)

  • 2017 - 3 Certificates of Distinction

  • 2017 - 7 Certificates of Merit

  • 2017 - 6 Students achieved an ATAR of over 90%

  • 2017 - 1 student achieved an ATAR of 99.3 (1 of only 13 students who achieved over 99 in regional WA)

  • 2017 - Attainment Rate (Cert II Completions/ATAR 55): maintained above 90% for the second straight year

  • 2017 - Certificate II Completion Rate: 100%: Best in 7 years

  • All aspects of Year 9 NAPLAN above WA ‘Like’ Schools

  • All aspects of Year 7 NAPLAN at or above WA ‘Like’ Schools

  • 2017 - Queens Cup (6 Trophies)

  • 2017 - IPS Principals Fellowship program (Harvard) Participant - Dainon Couzic

  • 2016 - Cinesnaps Champion Teacher

  • 2016 - Country Week ‘A’ Grade Basketball Champions
